Hot Leather

Hey y'all!
Leather doesn't seem to be going anywhere anytime soon so I decided to do a day and night time look! These leather trousers are hot! I paired them with a loose sweater and wedge booties for the day time look. A loose fitting tee would look great too! For the night I didn't want the top to steal the attention from the pants so a solid blouse is a great choice. The cheetah wedge continues the edginess of the pants! Next time!

Happy Valentine's Day

Valentines outfit

Hey y'all! Whether you are single (like me) or taken I want to wish you guys a very happy Valentine's Day. Its all about the love of family, friends and that special someone! Of course I had to do a look to wear whether on a date tonight or out with friends! I have seen a lot of black and white lately, and I love the contrast I added a pop of color withe the festive Valentine Pink skirt! Red would be another good option! Gold accessories compliment this color combo well! Add a t-strap heel (that I am dying over lately) and you are ready to for whatever the night may bring!
Love ya,

To the Maxi

To the Max..i

Hey guys!! Back again! I Have completely fallin in love with maxi skirts! I plan to live in them this summer. But until then I wanted to show you guys cute ways to wear them now (keep in mind I live on the gulf coast, you northerners may need a jacket lol). I did one laid back look featuring a cropped tee and sneakers. I think this look would also work with sneaker wedges, and a band tee. My second look features another love of mine, the chambray top with a belt to pull the look together and cute sandals. Wedges would also be cute! If you guys down own a maxi skirt, seriously get one!!

High Society

High Society

Hey y'all  I am back with another obsession! Lately I can just not get enough of the high waist bottoms, so I wanted to do a look! I love the color of these shorts, but this look would look good with a variety of colors. High rise bottoms look great with a top that you can tuck in like this contrast button up. You can also do a night look with a cropped top!

My outfit must-haves

the basics

Hey y'all! I'm back again to talk to you guys about some items you MUST have in your closet. I find that I buy all these items that I just fall in love with and when the time comes to put together an outfit I just stare into my closet lost. I have recently discovered that I am shopping all wrong, (and here I was thinking that I was a pro-shopper) yes get those items that you fall in love with but do not  forget the basics. The key to looking put together and polished is layering. So here I have my favorite layering pieces:
1.The basic tee- This is a must! You should have a variety of colors and patterns, these can be worn under jackets, blazers and chambrays. You can dress them up with a cute hi-low skirt or dress down with a pair of jeans and a scarf.
2. The blazer-  I am seriously addicted to blazers. I have them in almost every color and cut. The blazer is a great item to have because of its versatility. I can dress up a pair of jeans or give structure to a skirt. Blazers also look great over a body con dress just add pumps and you are ready for a night out.
3. The chambray shirt- This has become one of my favorite items in my closet. I wear mine with everything. You can wear a chambray alone as a top with colored skinnies or tucked into a skirt. You can also layer a chambray over a tank or tee and leave it unbottoned..try it!!
4. The dark wash skinny jean- I love a dark wash skinny because to me they look more chic than a lighter wash. You can dress your skinny jeans up with a blazer and cute loafer or dress down with a  cute top and pair of riding boots.

Winter whites

Winter whites

Can you wear white after labor day??? Hellz yea! Well, that's my opinion anyway, rules were meant to be broken! I did a monochromatic look in both day and night! I love comfy sweaters for running around during the day and a scarf is the perfect accessory to complete a look! For the night the peplum accentuates your womanly figure (or gives the illusion of one if needed), while the cap toe heels add instant glamour! Remember for a monochromatic look to try different shades of one color! Let me know what you think or send me you mono-tone looks!

Oh Emerald!

Oz
I wanted to do an outfit with the new color of the season...Emerald! I absolutely adore this color and was so excited to see it get some recognition by Pantone. I still can't get enough of the high-low skirt either, so this dress was perfect! I added a leather moto because it just gives the perfect edge to the softness of the dress. Let me know what y'all think!!!
